Academy Licence Agreement
In Simple Terms
Your purchase grants your academy a licence to use The Lash Format materials within your own business.
You may customise approved templates, train your students using the materials and provide permitted resources to your students.
You may not resell, share, transfer or provide The Lash Format materials, editable templates or training manuals to other educators, academies or third parties.
The purpose of this licence is to allow educators to confidently use, customise and promote The Lash Format materials within their own academy while protecting the intellectual property from unauthorised sharing, distribution or resale.
By purchasing, downloading, accessing or using The Lash Format materials, you agree to the terms of this agreement.
Licence Grant
The Lash Format grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased materials within your own academy or training business.
One purchase grants one academy the right to use The Lash Format materials within its own business.
What You May Do
You may:
- Use the materials to train your students.
- Print materials for your students.
- Provide students with business documents and supporting resources for use within their own lash business.
- Add your academy logo, colours and business information to editable templates where permitted.
- Share photographs, videos, previews and snippets of the materials for marketing purposes.
- Use the materials repeatedly within your own academy.
What You May Not Do
You may not:
- Resell, share, transfer or distribute The Lash Format materials to another educator, academy or business.
- Share editable templates, source files or design files with any third party.
- Upload materials to public websites, online marketplaces, file-sharing platforms or cloud storage intended for public access.
- Share complete training manuals online.
- Claim ownership of The Lash Format materials.
- Copy, reproduce or create competing products based substantially on The Lash Format materials.
If you provide educator training, mentoring or educator courses, you may not provide The Lash Format materials, systems or resources to the educators you are training.
Any academy, educator or training provider wishing to use The Lash Format materials must obtain their own licence directly from The Lash Format.
Student Use of Materials
Students may receive printed copies or PDF versions of business documents and supporting resources intended for use within their own lash business.
Training manuals may be provided in printed format only.
Digital copies of training manuals may not be shared, distributed or provided to students without prior written permission from The Lash Format.
If you wish to provide your training in a digital or online format, please contact us beforehand. We are happy to work with educators to find a solution that protects both your academy’s intellectual property and that of The Lash Format.
Ownership
All manuals, templates, forms, illustrations, graphics, educational content, systems and supporting resources remain the exclusive property of The Lash Format.
Your purchase grants a licence to use these materials. Ownership is not transferred through purchase.
Educator Responsibility
The Lash Format materials are intended for use by professional lash artists, educators and academy owners who possess the necessary knowledge, practical skills and experience required to train students responsibly.
The Lash Format provides educational resources and curriculum materials only.
It remains the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that they possess any qualifications, certifications, licences, experience or legal authority required to provide training within their region.
Independent Business Relationship
The Lash Format may recognise certain academies as Licensed Partners, Partner Academies or approved users of The Lash Format materials.
However, each academy remains an independent business responsible for its own operations, training practices, legal compliance, financial obligations and business decisions.
Nothing in this agreement creates a legal partnership, franchise, employment relationship or agency relationship between The Lash Format and the purchaser.
The purchaser may not enter into agreements, make representations or incur obligations on behalf of The Lash Format without prior written consent.
Breach of Licence
Any breach of this agreement may result in the suspension or termination of the licence, removal from partner programmes and legal action where appropriate.
Limitation of Liability
The Lash Format makes no guarantee regarding student outcomes, business performance or profitability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Lash Format shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or business losses arising from the use of the materials.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute arising from this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Acceptance
By purchasing, downloading, accessing or using The Lash Format materials, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Academy Licence Agreement.
